North Star Sanctum is an ideal base to explore East Riding of Yorkshire. There is something for everyone and the best source of up to date reference is www.vhey.co.uk.
Where is North Star Sanctum located?
North Star Sanctum is on Humbleton Road in Fitling. Please refer to the map at the bottom of this page.
What do I need to pack?
Travel light! Soft luggage is easier to store in the lodge. All linen, towels, robes, slippers, firewood, charcoal, tea, coffee, sugar, milk etc is provided. USB sockets are available in all lodges.
Is Wifi available?
Yes! Login details are provided in the lodge. All TV’s are smart so bring your streaming login details and view as you do at home. All lodges have a TV with HDMI wall socket link to plug in gaming consoles, laptops etc
What facilities are available for my dog?
Most lodges welcome up to 2 small and well-behaved pets for no extra charge. Patios are not completely enclosed (just screened) although pets can be secured on the patio. There is a walk available within the park. Hot and cold outside taps are provided at all lodges to clean your dog. Please ensure pets are kept on a lead at all times and not left unattended.
Where can I store my bike?
Bike storage is provided (bring your own lock).
What time is check out/ check in?
Standard check in is 4pm and check out 10am. Wherever possible we relax this as far as possible if agreed in advance (so we can organise cleaning). We do not charge for early check in or late check out.
What is check in / out procedure?
Your lodge will be ready for you with the key in the door. All lodges have name plates to aid identification and a site plan is sent to you in advance of your arrival. We will meet you on (or soon after) arrival. When your done just leave the key in the door. Nothing complicated!
Are there any shops, pubs or restaurants nearby?
Major supermarkets are in Hull, Bilton, Withernsea and Hornsea, all nearby and have fuel stations and cash points. Smaller convenience stores are a few minutes drive in Aldbrough and Roos. There is a licensed restaurant within walking distance (along a quiet road with no path) and the nearest pub is at Lelley which is a 5 minute drive.
I have young children – is the lodge suitable?
Yes but please let us know if you require twin beds making up, a cot, high chair or fire guard (all provided free of charge).
